Brief 11: YCN Topdeck - Poster Design Development

I knew I wanted the posters to reflect the brochure designs, so it was quite simple to replicate - the main focus of the posters would be the imagery and the copy to draw people in.

I started with Jordan, and I tried to pick something that is quite different - something you would never be able to do in the UK, and is specific to Jordan. I felt the copy was a good start here but maybe a bit too long?

I condensed it a bit which I think works better, and lowered the opacity slightly. I added the logo with Live Like a Local underneath it

I made the text bigger. I tried a change of photo but I'm not too keen on it

In the brochure they have different colours for each destination, so I took the one from the Middle East to make it match

I added Jordan at the top in a box so you know where the experience/image is from

I tried a different image but again I felt this was too dingy

I went onto New Zealand, and I really liked this image but it was a stock photo which I couldn't use. For the copy here I tried to show two different routes you could go down - adventure or more relaxin

I was going to do Yosemite at first for the USA poster, but then felt it was a very touristy place to visit, and perhaps doesn't represent living like a local as much as it could do

I like this image for San Fran, but it doesn't stand out a lot

I tried altering the 2nd pic's composition to see if that made a difference

I took the colour from the Aus + NZ brochure for that poster

I tried this photo as well - I'm not sure it represents the copy exactly though

Final 3
Here are the final posters that I went with:
