Brief 11: YCN Topdeck - Boards Development

I needed to submit presentation boards to YCN to explain my idea in as much detail as possible and show them the response I have created.

Board Content
I had already mocked up the app, snapchat and posters as I did them, and saved everything as a PNG ready for inputting into the presentation boards.

I started thinking about what I needed to include and a running order. I started with digital things first, and as these are the biggest part of the project it makes sense to open with them, then the outcomes for the live like a local campaign (posters/environmental)
  • Title Page
  • Website - home page; filter; search results; trip results; brochure
  • App - log in/sign up; destination/explore; results x2; bucket list/trip list; trip overview/itinerary/price
  • Snapchat - 3 examples
  • Poster - mock up; two other examples
  • Environmental

Boards Development
I started to develop the boards on InDesign.

I thought about having a blurred image as the background, and allowing the crisp designs to stand out against them

I then tried it in the style I have used throughout the project which I think looks more professional and easy to read

I added annotations in a hand rendered font to point out certain things that I wouldn't necessarily mention the written description. It works with their more laidback and conversational approach

I thought I could use this as the title page - however, I then decided to use a grey background and dark logo just like the animations I created.

I added more type to the description to include as much detail as poss, which I tried to do on every page to get my point across.

I used these drop shadow settings on the website pictures so they stood out against the background which is of the same colour
