Brief 16: Design Publication - Crit

We had a crit about the design publication that we are creating, and prior to this I had no idea what to do. I wasn't entirely sure on what the brief requires and was a bit stuck, so I used this opportunity to see what was needed and what tracks other people were on.

What it is
Could be a collection of things that inspire me
Placements, visits etc
Things that I am interested in

or

On a theme, such as web

Could be a blog, tumblr, animation, series of posters, book etc

Could include, but don't have to include work

Ideas
I thought of ideas during the crit to give people some idea of what I could do for feedback.

Could do it on web design. 

• Show process/methodology of how I work
• Subliminal messaging - flash keep it simple throughout
• Networking/placements
• Trying every avenue before I settle on something
• Wireframing, working out navigation and site map
• Visualise a map of a site

Focused on work/life balance this year

• There is more to life than graphic design
• Focussing on other hobbies has made me more productive/hasn't had a negative impact on my work
• In order to do good graphic design I've thought about other things to clear my head and stay focused
• Methodology is doing other things that inform my work
• Switching off has made me more productive
• Visualise how work/life work together
• Procrastibaking/recipe for balance
• Timeline
• Diary format
• Online recipe book
