- It's going to be such a big book, smaller files will make InDesign run smoother
- Makes it easier to input them all
- I can check each one to make sure it works in the chosen layout
I had to email quite a few of the girls today to ask them to resend me their work or specify a certain layout if they hadn't already done so, and I think it has really helped to be understanding and friendly to them about their work. This is so they don't feel stressed or guilty that they have sent me their work late/not in the correct format - it really isn't a problem, but I just needed it sorting so prompt communication has been key throughout the process.
It did take me quite a while, but it will make the rest of the process a lot smoother now. Even though we had 6 layouts, only 4 of them have been chosen which is fine and I think their work will look great.
